Software & storytelling for complex products

I turn abstract ideas, data and AI capabilities into clear prototypes, diagrams, and stories that help teams decide what to build next.

About Me

I help leadership teams turn insight and data into prototypes, software, and stories that create commercial and reputational value.

Previously, I was Head of Design and Audience Insight at BBC News Online, and later ran After the Flood, a data-design agency.

My work has led to new, multi-million dollar revenue-generating services for the Financial Times, UEFA, and clients in media, finance, transport, and energy.

I’m currently a Staff Designer in financial services, leading prototyping, strategic narrative communications and design mentorship — helping teams visualise complex concepts and tell stronger stories about the products they are building.

In my practice, I’ve run design conferences, spoken at major events, curated my own programmes, and mentored young designers. I also advise design companies, start-ups, and NGOs on design strategy.
